Report on Conducted Local and National Workshops on Corruption
As part of the "Digital Vs Corrupt" project, two workshops were held between May and October 2024. Each workshop gathered 20 participants, including young activists, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and local sector experts. The goal of the workshops was to raise awareness of corruption and empower participants to identify and combat corruption at both local and national levels.A significant contribution to the workshops was made by the trainers, who shared the knowledge and skills they had acquired during the training held in Pirot. Through interactive presentations and practical assignments, the trainers introduced key strategies for identifying and reporting corruption, as well as methods for applying these tools in daily work. Since our association is also involved in music pedagogy, we established communication with young people initially through music workshops and then asked questions about corruption in the music industry, to which we received interesting answers. During the workshops, participants analyzed the main causes of corruption in the public sector and discussed its impact on democratic processes and economic development. The focus was on the importance of the rule of law and ethical standards in addressing this issue, combined with the practical application of the knowledge gained through group activities.
Participants expressed a willingness to continue collaborating and applying the knowledge gained in their respective communities, thereby contributing to strengthening democratic values and transparency.
