Whistleblower Protection & ICT Against Corruption

From 23rd to 28th July 2025, the city of Tuzla will host an international Erasmus+ training course titled “Whistleblower Protection & ICT Against Corruption”, bringing together youth workers, activists, and experts from over 10 European countries. The training is organized by the Association “akustikUm – Muzička omladina JMBH”, in partnership with organizations from Iceland, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Germany and others, as part of the Erasmus+ project “With Digitalisation Versus Corruption”, funded by the European Union.

Over the course of six days, participants will engage in educational and practical activities focused on whistleblower protection, anti-corruption mechanisms, digital tools, and empowering young people for civic engagement. The training will take place at the Peace Flame House, covering the following topics:

-whistleblower protection,
-digital tools in the fight against corruption,
-media literacy and youth civic engagement.

A special focus will be given to developing an educational Youth Toolkit for anti-corruption work, as well as analyzing real case studies from the Western Balkans and EU. In addition to the educational component, participants will take part in cultural and recreational activities, including a visit to the Panonika Salt Lakes, a city walking tour, and an organized group visit to the Kaleidoskop Festival – one of the most important cultural events in Tuzla. The goal of the training is to empower young leaders and youth workers to promote integrity and transparency in their local communities and become agents of democratic change. This initiative supports the broader goals of Erasmus+ and EU youth policy: strengthening democratic participation, fostering civic responsibility, and enhancing the resilience of young people in a digital age.
Learning, connection, and cultural exchange in the heart of Tuzla!
